What do you think of when you think Ignacio?

Downtown Ignacio is currently noisy, dusty, smelly, devoid of foliage, lacking in services and businesses, needs meeting space, not for hanging out, disconnected, for a purpose or errands, doesn’t have gathering space, and town hall is taking up valuable downtown space.

It is vacant, underdeveloped, has potential, is walkable, has services available, is a public transit hub, has a grocery store, has a library that has hosted events in its open space, has events when streets may be blocked off, has had a bike rally, has had movies in the park through youth services, is creative, is notable for Green Chili Fest and a Taste of Christmas, and had a farmer’s and artisans market.
